Very well said Draco18s, I completely agree with all that you say there. There is nothing more to say on the subject after that, clearly. :-) However..... there are still some decent games being created, it's just a lot harder now to track them down amongst all the rubbish ones that are out there. At least by using the star ratings system in this site we can help each other pick out the good ones from the bad. Why not spend some time reviewing some games on here at random, and give them honest star ratings, that will greatly improve the situation for everyone, surely?

Exellent, me too. I meant for everyone that reads this thread to do the same, not just us two... :-)

Thanks guys, we hope that the signal to noise will continue to get better, and are working on getting the games rated and properly featured.

Oh no! It is clear from many of the so-called "games" submitted in the past week that actually the average quality of games is now seriously declining. The reason appears to be that almost everyone who can work with Flash at even just a basic level is now rushing out any kind of half-baked "game" just to try and take advantage of Mochi Ads. That's not a surprise really I suppose. I am increasingly inclined to click back out of a game page when a game starts pre-loading with Mochi Ads because such games are now so often a waste of time bothering to play. Oh dear, I'm sure that's not part of Mochi Ads business plan! :-)

I've never used Mochi Ads for my game, mainly on the principle that I hate advertisements in the preloader (not to mention that Mochi never adversises anything even remotely resembling something I'd be interested in).

It's getting worse, it looks like people are now submitting games that got blammed, or very close to it, in Newgrounds (which for sure means they are a lot worse than just being "gay"), presumably to try and earn something from the "revenue sharing" in this site. Oh dear.

No worries guys, we're working on it. I'm getting in touch with some developers who will be submitting soon.

It doesn't help that games over about 7MB still can't be uploaded - there are a lot of very high quality games of that size or more.....
