I'd rather have a deck of card than a board game.  Cards are portable and there are tons of games you can play with them.  But with board games, I do enjoy the classics like Monopoloy, Clue, and Risk.

I played monopoly with some friends and I held the out come of them match in my hands. I.E. Some property others needed to have complete sets.

I ended up losing first due to the fact that  I did a double trade to get park place, but nobody landed on my property.
