I have just joined this community and I would like to add a few of my games here.

I decided that your adsense revenue share sounded fair and I explored it further.

Firstly, there isn't much information in the help file on the system, it took me a while to figure out what my Adsense pub-id was.

However, I did get this sorted and I uploaded a game here:

http://www.gamegum.com/game/1325/get-in-goal/

I assumed you would add the adsense to this games page.

But there are no adverts on this page or any of your game pages.!!?

Are you no longer adding adverts to the games, is this revenue share no longer in operation?

Thanks in advance,

David

Ahh, I will take it back. The ads are now showing.

However, there are issues:

1. why did the ads not show the first time I visited?

2. The ads are the last thing to load on the page and when you click (say forum on the top menu) you will notice they are the first to dissapear.

What I am trying to say is that it feels buggy, would the owners agree? Or is this a known issue?

Also, why only one advert and why do the ads say 'ads by yahoo' when you ask for my 'adsense'(google) pub-id on setting up the account details???

Thanks, I did search the forum before I posted these questions.

There is no issue here, the reason you don't always see your Adsense ads showing is because its percentage based.  25 out of 100 page views will see your advertisements, the rest of the time it will be our Yahoo ads.  I hope this clears it up!

Why is there only a few ads per page? There is space for 4 ads from both yahoo and google, why not use the space better?

I have asked a few people to test that income is coming from the ads and I have seen no income on my google account?

I can not find enough instruction as to how it will all work in your help file.

If you could provide a better break down of your service, i would be most grateful. Thanks.

No one likes a site saturated with ads. Look up "web design" and "aesthetics" for more on that issue. =P

No income on your account? No one is clicking the ads. It has nothing to do with the Gamegum end of the issue, do some research on AdSense at AdSense itself.

yes, people have been clicking the ads. I asked a few people to do so and I have double checked the system. It seems the ad clicks you advertise are not coming through.

It doesn't always, Adsense has plenty of filters... You can't blame proph3t for it, I've run a few sites that has plenty of traffic, I even clicked a few times to test myself, and I still hardly got any... a lot of it is luck, but if the site gets a bit more traffic, we should be able to see a noticeable increase

Adsense does not work on luck. It is a major multi billion dollar business. And google would be upset if they thought that adsense was based on luck in your getting the money for the clicks that had been clicked. In the case of gamegum. It just does not work form my end. Does anyone else experience this?

It does work and this is verified, if you load a page of yours it should show, on the occassion that the views are in the top 25% in your case (so from 75-100 views) your advertisement.  In the source code you can verify this by pressing ctrl+u and looking for the right publisher ID.  I hope this helps clear things up.

I have already monitored this at every 10 plays for the last 200 and the following ID is always in the source code:

googleadclient = "pub-8762097312989624"
Please double check this system is working?

Also: as it wasn't clear. Are you supposed to put in the 'pub-' bit into the account profile settings box?
At the moment it looks like 'pub-$$$$$$$$$$$$$'

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you must fill in your publisher ID and active it in the control panel for your advertisements to appear.
