So, yesterday we made some huge strides in doing the crunch-work that comes with the redesign. Of course the major overhaul part is always exciting but then there's the long tail of it and you end up spending double the time going through and fixing/updating the html, tweaking the css, and finally making sure it works in all browsers.

We are 50% done with that long tail right now. Our todo list in order is:
* Visit a few more pages to bring them up to date.
* Tweak everything for ToonGum.
* Test across all browsers/platforms.
* Go live.

I'd say if we keep on track no later than this weekend it should be up. Thought I'd start a thread for any last minute advice you all have.

What's New
I must say it looks very good at this point. The logo is bolder and sleeker, the navigation text was made larger and simpler. We tweaked fonts to fit a more bold and sleek look, and introduced some new colors to pop out. Organization was greatly improved with the new "title" area that gives much more direct and pretty navigation within certain pages.

Beyond that we added a "Community Pulse" to the homepage to show new users directly how our community runs and give our old users an easy peek at whats happening from the home page. The overall page size is wider which really shows on game pages and allows us to show games at their full view more often. The forum also got an overhaul and is now incredibly clear and easy to navigate.

As far as bugfixes we fixed searching with multiple terms and sped it up overall. The entire site has been audited for speed/security and some simple universal changes have definitely improved speed and stability.

A quick update for the loyals, we competed the website, including ToonGum, but are doing final fixing for IE6 which always turns out to be a bigger pain than it should be.

Luckily it means we can sneak in a few new features for you all, as we plan on launching the coming weekend instead of this week. Sorry to push it back a whole week, but at least this way we have the potential to launch it ahead of our proposed date if all goes well.

Nice job on the site! One problem though, it looks like the Popup feature is now cutting off my 640 by 400 DunkIt and Findin' Stuff games. So now please don't use the pop up feature to play my goofy games! It looks like the games are getting pushed down. This didn't happen in the previous rev of the Game gum site. We're using the latest version of Firefox. I hope this gets fixed soon, because I like playing all of the games through the pop up feature.

The new site is awesome! The new Toongum logo is sweet. The only thing I'm not liking is the weird tabbed forum setup...

Bug Report: Using Opera, the Friends page is messed up, and the Fans page leads to a 404 error.
