(well i guess i should say Flashers Block)
After submitting a flash I always seem to have a period of about 1 month where I cant think of anything to do in flash..
... Is this just me or does anyone else get the same thing?

I get the same thing. A lot. Like... right now.
I have some good ideas as to what I want to make, and I sit down to start working on them... but when it comes to visualizing the code, my brain decides to take an unscheduled vacation.

Here's an exercise, stolen from my experimental game design class.
Probably works best with a group.
Pick a topic, ANYTHING. Childhood, time, space, vomiting...
Now, write that on a piece of paper and draw 5 lines off of it, on the end of each line write a word associated with the topic. Each time draw two more lines off that word and write two more words associated with the previous word, repeat until you've run out of associations.
From the list of words think about how you could incorperate those into a game and what kind of game it would be. Feel free to trim branches off the word tree and add new ones as you go along. Try to get as much of those ideas in as possible!
With three people our ideas for games have been rather interesting (the implementation, not so much--the other two guys kept changing things last minute, we've yet to turn in a game less than 15 hours late--based on how late each one has been and extrapolating into a function, the next one will be turned in 44 hours late; admittedly I'm working with two points of data).
