Is flash 8 too hard for you?

I find it very confusing how to do simple stuff in flash 8. I stick with MX though I know it's a bit dated now. I don't know how I'll move on.

I jumped from the trial version of MX (non-2004) to Flash 8 Basic, and had no problems. All you have to get used to is the facelift. Flash 8 is MX with a new smooth look. Either you dont know flash well, or just like MX for some odd reason... (no offense intended)

Flash 8 basic? Hmmm... I only have proffesional. MX is just something I've got used to. I know it's not the best version.

I dont see how professional could be much different. I dunno. If you like MX, stick to it.

Basically i have never been able to make head or tail out of any version of Flash. I tried MX and also tried Flash 8 hoping it might be simpler. I guess I am just not cut out for it.

Yeah. I recommend just going ahead with 8 and doing all the tutorials on it and try to make sense of it.

I can't use any flash program (yet).  I tried once, but the program really slowed down my computer.  I have a new laptop now, so if I ever have extra time, maybe I'll try it out again.

Any good quickie tutorials out there to get me started?

Ummm... then I can't really help you. If you dont do the tutorials, you wont learn, and if you dont learn, you cant make games, so do the tutorials
