Game built in 10 weeks (10 weeks because it was for a class I took, the class was 10 weeks long and assumed we knew nothing). Vertical scrolling shooter--as a dragon!

Graphics optimization are long running and partially successful (Ice and Fire breaths still cause significant lag due to partical count--I'm working on it!)

Being weaponless isn't actually a bad thing! Default "claw" weapon! :) Finish a level without weapons for *massive* bonus points!

Keys used (as some people skip the instructions):
Arrows to Move
Space to Fire
B to use Breath « Less

Thanks. :)It's an ongoing struggle to figure out what's causing the most lag and how to reduce it without impacting visual quality too much.I think I determined that it was mostly particle count, rather than them being partially transparent.Once again it's summer so I'll have time to work on it, though mostly I'll be fixing up another project so that it isn't the epic failure of Design by Commity that it ended up as (I'm going back to MY beta copy and working forward rather than the Copy I Did Almost Nothing On).But Dragon Run will probaby see an update.

It's a really well made game, lots of attention to detail and no glitches that I can see. It's also a really fun to play shoot-em-up, I like having a dragon instead of a spaceship, it's a nice change. The difficulty setting seems quite high, which makes the game a decent challenge - and it's quite rare to find a really good and tough game, so well done on that too! The only thing is, as you say, it's a tiny bit laggy which seems to also affect control responsiveness at times. Fix that and you've got a real top-notch top-ranking game here (and I wish this system had marks out of 10 ratings instead of just 5, because I want to give this game 9/10 instead of the 4/5 I'm forced to give it).
