How it Works
Once you have signed up you can begin participating in the community. If you create games, you can submit them to the portal right away. If you just plan on viewing the games, you will be able to write comments, rate content, add favorites, track friends and favorites, customize your avatar, and much more. Users also can keep a close eye on their posts, submissions, friends and favorites through their personal control panel, along with the other usual personal information.

If you've forgotten your password or account name and want to reset it, please go to our forgotten password retrieval page and we will email you a new password along with your username.
Registered User Benefits
- Favorites: Click on "Add Favorite" on any individual game page to add that game as a favorite. You may manage any favorites by clicking "Profile" while logged in and selecting the tab "Favorites".
- Submissions: Use our easy submission form to submit your game to the portal instantly.
- Rating: Select one of the stars to rate s from 1 to 5.
- Comments: You may post a comment using the form right below the description area.
- Forums: Our forums are open to all registered users and allow you to talk on all flash related topics as well as any other general topics.
- Track Everything: View stats on friends, favorites, comments, posts and submissions all through your control panel.
- Flash Quality: In the preferences panel inside your control panel, you can select the default game quality.
- Comment Notify: In the preferences panel inside your control panel, you can decide whether or not to be notified of new comments.
- Avatars: Avatars give users a visually unique identity on the site. Set this to distinguish yourself in the community.
- Setting Your Profile: Each user may fill out their profile information from their control panel and it will be displayed on their profile page, including About Me, Location, AIM/MSN, Website, and more.
Submitting
Submissions are easy and require as little as three fields to fill out. Simply visit our submission form and you can have your game live on the site instantly. Be sure that you have read over our guidelines for submitting games and follow them when deciding to submit any content.
GumPoints
GumPoints are a unique feature to GameGum that are automatically calculated based on each users participation within the community. Flash submissions earn a user a larger amount of GumPoints while commenting, posting or rating games will earn a user fewer points. GumPoints are important because they are used for various rewards on the site. Flash developers can earn a greater percent of revenue by accumulating GumPoints. Below is a list of how a user can earn GumPoints:

Revenue Sharing
Revenue is earned by inputting an Adsense publisher ID. You can get your Publisher ID through Adsense, signup is easy and free. Then, browse to your "My Account" and you will find it under "Property Information". This ID will be used to display ads on your games page and under any forum posts for the percent of time listed below based on GumPoints:

Moderation System
Users who have proven themselves trustworthy and active participants in the community may be selected to become a moderator from time to time. Moderators are given the power to moderate certain user-generated content. Moderation is used only when a user breaks one of the rules or when absolutely necessary.
