The Ongoing Development of 4

Well, version four of GameGum has been progressing well as usual. What started as a small visual update has turned into the "end all be all" of GameGum updates, but nonetheless it is progressing nicely. I thought I'd write a post about some of the new stuff going on.
Private Messaging - Yep, you can't have forums without private messaging. This is in the alpha alpha phases but will be finished before the release.
New Games Page - This has been drastically changed. Now it's presented as a table with each game having a row. This allows us to show much more data while keeping everything clean looking.
New Header - Lots of stuff changed here as well. Search is now where the login and register buttons are, and the login and register buttons are where the search was. New icons and changed links as well.
Redesigned Layout - Slightly larger fonts, new fonts, new graphics, a ton less code, more javascript, more white (in a good way), and all pages have been thoroughly analyzed and reorganized for a better experience from the homepage all the way to the 404 error page.
Amazing Forms - Probably the least exciting for you game players but very exciting for me. Trust me, these are nice. Oh, and super clean code.
User Ratings by Comments - When you comment your rating is now shown right next to the comment.
Forums - Talked about a bunch of times, yep.
New Featured Games Algorithm - Should bring up some more fresh stuff.
Favorite Authors - Just started on development but will be there in version 4. This will include some nice features to go with it.
Full Pages - Many pages now have removed the sidebar and are just one column. This is immediately noticeable in many places and has been put to good use.
Report Game Issues - Just started as well, will let users report issues with a game that was submitted and should be integrated pretty well.
Bugs Fixed - This is the biggest update of all. While many are probably going to crop up with the update, there has been an uncountable amount of bugs squashed, and more each day. I would put an estimate around 300, if not more. These range from little interface quirks all the way up.
Well, I thought I would get that off my chest. Beyond that there are even more features in consideration. Tags, expanding on Gumpoints, advanced search and artist of the day. We really are hoping to leap forward much farther than any other progression before, and this should mark the finalization of GameGum as a full-featured community of gamers.
Post a comment if you have any suggestions, we still have some room to add anything that is important to the community.
