Another Update on Progress

Things are incredibly busy as of late, and I apologize for not keeping everyone here up to date with whats going, especially with a few deadlines we announced being hit this weekend. As far as the launch is concerned, we are working as hard as possible to get it out in the next few days but we have made some changes that are delaying our progress. These changes though are great ones, and we hope they will be well worth the wait.
First, I'm going to update the stats posted from last time with more recent numbers:
- Referrals: 99.9% (never know if theres bugs
) - "Featured" game spot. This is one of the changes that is pushing back the release. We had a few inspirations and we are going to turn this into something bigger, better, and very slick. Watch out for it. I'll add a percentage to it as of this instant: 50%. By the end of today it will probably be closer to 80-90% though as we are focusing on it over the weekend.
- ToonGum: 95% (we made progress, but in our design shift we need to work on it again to polish the update design).
Some cool size/speed notes:
- Code size has been greatly reduced and the site feels much faster.
- We have refocused on our javascript and have reduced the use of it as well, speeding up the site.
- CSS file has been slashed by about 1/3.
Also, we are considering redesigning the "Games" page and including that redesign in the new release. Previously this was planned to be released with the profile page redesign, but with the new front page changes we are considering bringing the game page up to sync with the front page. This change would push the release back no more than two days, so depending on that we are looking at a new launch date by next Friday, Sunday the latest.
